Zac's Poem with the help of Dad

Zac was asked to write a rhetorical poem for homework. With the help of dad here is what they came up with.

MY MOTHER LOVES ME By Zac

Is a sunbeam filled with light?
Does a star shine in the night?
Does the lightning pierce the dark?
In the night, does my dog bark?
Is there water in a pool?
Can the sands conceal a jewel?

For, I know my mother loves me
BECAUSE:

A sunbeam fills her.
A star shines in her.
The lightning thrills her.
The night comforts her.
The water quenches her.
And the sands of time contain
a jewel...her child.
