Street Ball!

We have a great neighborhood. The kids love to go play at the end of the culdesac and the other night the kids were all down there with Jennifer, Santana and Jeff playing some baseball. Check the video's out below.

Samuel Dailey

Here's a small documentary piece my father and I put together awhile back about my great grandfather on my Dad's side. We spent a few hours one day scanning / filming old photo's, transferring old films and the like. Then I set up the camera and filmed my Dad talking generally about the Dailey ancestral history and then, more specifically, information about Samuel. I later edited the footage and grabbed one of my acoustic guitars (Larrivee OM-05) and quickly came up with a little ditty to play in the background. It was a bit labor intensive on the production side but I thought it came out pretty cool. This whole thing was really a test to see what it would take to make more extensive documentaries about one's ancestors.

The idea is two fold:

1. Preserve genealogical information in a digital form that can be archived long term and converted to new formats as technology changes.

2. Provide a presentation about ones ancestors that is more personal and visually interesting than just reading manuscripts about them.

Of course, there is no way to match a written history for a fully comprehensive account of one's life. But, hopefully, short little films such as the following will bring interest to the younger generations to dig deeper into the lives of those who preceded them.

Update on Eli Cash Byram

Eli is up to 4 lbs and 6 oz. He has been moved out of NICU to the Nursery and yesterday they put him in a crib. Also tomorrow Maggie is getting tubes put in her ears as she is having a lot of problems. So Paige is going to be a busy girl tomorrow. Hope and pray that all will go well for them.

The First Special Editions

New for this year I will be offering a diverse compilation of select images for a series of special edition collectible pieces. The first series out the gate will be the Monogram Special Edition 2008. This series was designed as a cost-effective and efficient way to acquire one of my prints pre-mounted and double matted ready to be put into a 16 x 20 size frame of the buyers choosing.

"Monogram's" feature a beautiful pigmented Giclée fine art print on Ilford professional lustre paper. I hand selected the mat colors for each print in order to facilitate, tonally, the most optimum presentation of the work as a whole. The prints are water and scratch resistant. They are capable of being displayed without glass. They are rated not to color fade, under normal conditions, for a lifetime. All materials used are acid and lignin free.

Each different print in the series will be offered in a limited run of 250. They come with a certificate of authenticity, which is permanently attached to the back of the work. The certificate is signed, numbered and given a serial number that is used to register the print to be archived in the Jeff Jewkes photography registration files for further long term protection of the owners investment.

I have spent many, many long hours of painstaking labor in designing the Monogram Special Edition. My fervent hope is that the buyer will find this series to be absolutely stunning, that these prints will bring inspiration and add a pleasing aesthetic look to ones home or office.

The first two Monogram Special Edition prints: Saint Vrain Creek 1 and Saint Vrain Creek 2 are available now with more in the series to shortly follow. For those who live outside Colorado and can not visit my gallery, other exhibits or stores in the area I have now opened an online shop via the well respected Etsy.com in which anyone, anywhere can easily acquire prints from this edition as well as others works in the future.

Yard Project 2008

Here is the before picture of the patio that we are going to put a gazebo on and a fireplace and when the fence goes up we will move the bbq up here as well. With the wind that we get here we figured we will wait to move the bbq until the fence can buffer the high winds. I have seen the wind blow over our neighbors bbq and that is scary!

Today's Update on Eli cash Byram

I talked to my mom last night and the Dr. was able to take out the tube in his chest from the surgery. The tube enabled any air that was in his chest to come out. Eli now weighs 3 lbs and 14 oz. He is drinking about an ounce of mike at one setting. Yesterday Olivia went to see her brother as she was missing him. She is such a great big sister. On the other had little miss Maggie is fighting an ear infection which is no fun. Tonight my Dad is going over to Paige's as he has been working in Moses Lake. Hopefully he will get to see the little one this weekend. Thanks for all the prayers.

Update on Eli Cash Byram

Eli had a hard time breathing yesterday (4/7/08) so they did another x-ray and found a hole in his lung. They did emergency surgery and repaired the hole in his lung and he is doing ok. We are stil waiting to hear from the doctor this morning. I will post more when I hear what his condition is this morning.

Ok I heard that he is doing well. They put a straw in his lung for the air to come out and as of this morning no more air is coming out. Also they did have to put him on cpak which is like life support for a little bit last night but he is also off of that this morning. He seems to be doing well. Thanks for keeping him in your prayers.

Eli Cash Byram

Here is the email from Paige.

Eli Cash Byram entered into our world a bit early but is doing good. He is 4.1 lbs and is up at Tacoma General Hospital in the NICU. He was taken by C-Section at 6:45 last night because of an eruptured placenta. He is still having a hard time breathing.I am doing good and should be released tomorrow so I can head up to the hospital.

Update: Eli as of Saturday night is now only on 28% oxygen and they have increase his feeding. He is doing well.
