Easter Weekend
We started Saturday off at the city Easter egg hunt where Jeff took pictures of the kids with the Easter bunny. There were a lot of cute kids there. Some that didn't want to get too close to the Bunny and others that snuggled in for a cute shot. Then it was drizzling a bit. It was nice to stay under the tent and when Jeff stepped back to take the shot the rain would fall off the tent top one time the rain fell right on his face and the other time down his back. It was a good thing that I keep some light mittens in my purse as he was able to use them and keep his fingers warm enough to hold the camera and take the pictures. Then at 11:30 we were able to head home and get the dog and the acini salad. I thought acini would be good as grandma would be able to eat this easily. Well this weekend we went to see Grandma Jewkes. It was good to see her. We had a nice dinner at Sue & Hal's and taught them how to play a new domino game called Chicken Foot. With 4 people you start with 12 tile and who ever has the highest double goes first. Starting with 12 and each game going to the next one down. Sometimes you may not always have the next highest double and so you skip it and go to the next one. Then with the double in the middle of the table everyone has to play that tile. For example with twelve being the double there would have to be 6 tile around it that have 12 on one side and a lower number on the other. If you can't play you get to draw. Once all 6 tile are around the double then you can play off any of the tile. Until the next double is played then you have to play off that double until 3 tile are around it. Once again if you can not play on the double then you have to draw. When you get down to 1 tile you tape it twice on the table and when the last tile is laid down then you when that round. You continue until you get to double blanks or three wins. Or you can count the points on the remaining tile. What ever suits your fancy. Also I got to hear from my mom on Easter which was a nice surprise. While they are on their mission we will only hear from them when they have cell service as they are not in a cellular area. Got to love email and chat.
