All That JAZ: Christmas 2011

Before we start...

I saw this cute idea somewhere and I love it. Now I can see all the cards family and friends sent to us.

Isn't she cute.

Jeff has been wanting this cd for a very long time. Each year he mentions it and one night while Zac and I were at Sam's club we saw it and knew at once that it would be exactly what Jeff would want. I love getting something that someone has wanted for a long time.

So Kathy wanted a pizza cutter for Christmas. So Jenny picked one up for her and gave it to her when they were in Utah celebrating Christmas with them. So when they came home I was talking to Dad about their Christmas with Jenny and he mentioned that he had to take back a gift he had gotten for Kathy since Jenny got her one. So I knew then that the cool pizza cutter that Zac and I found for her also needed to go back. So I told Jeff the story and he thought it was so cool he kept it to give to me. Jeff was not able to go out and do any Christmas shopping this year due to his leukemia. So Zac and I did all the shopping. It was fun to have that time together. So then we were back to the drawing board as to what to get mom for Christmas. So then I remembered the time when she and I were at the Cupboard and saw this cool kitchen tool. So I told Jeff let's go to Fort Collins and pick one up. So since Jeff didn't have much for me I picked one up for me too. I love it. It is great for stirring liquids like grave, tapioca pudding and the like.

Jeff absolutely loved Midnight in Paris when we saw it earlier this year at the Kress Cinema. So Jeff's folks got it for him for Christmas.

So I saw this Angry Birds shirt and had picked it up for Zac for Christmas. Then when he was with me at the store one time he mentioned that he would choose this Pepsi shirt over the others. So I took back the Angry Birds shirt and picked this one up. Funny story we had to take something back to Kohl's and there was still a credit left over so I let Zac pick up a shirt and what shirt did he end up with the same Angry Birds shirt that I had gotten for him originally.

My folks got for us a blower - I am so excited to use it. The next time we get a light and fluffy snow fall I plan on taking it out and seeing if I can blow the snow off instead of shoveling off the snow. I have to tell you what great Missionaries we have. The last two times it has snowed they have come over and cleared our driveway. What a blessing it has been since we have spent so much of our time at the hospital with Jeff.

Jeff did make it out with me one time and we found this shirt for Zac. He absolutely loves it.

Jeff and his sister have this funny sibling relationship. So for Christmas he received a "Skunk Ape" ornament and s clown that when you wind it up it goes around in circles. It is really cute. Of course I love clowns and Jeff and Jenny do not which is why this is so typical of their relationship.

The other item my parents got for us is a weed eater. It will sure come in handy this spring when we are working in the yard.

Zac got from my parents a foam pad to sleep on for Scouts. He really enjoyed using it this last time he went on a scout ice fishing trip.

As I was working on the calendar for my family I showed this to Kathy and she seemed like she would really enjoy something like this too. So I contacted Jenny and we worked together to get it done. Originally it wasn't due to come in until Jan 6th, but it came a few days before Christmas. I was so excited that they would actually have it for Christmas.

Zac was so very patient for Christmas. He waited until Dave and Kathy could come over and they didn't get to our house until 3pm Sunday. He even waited to open his stocking, but had to wear his pj's as that made him feel like it was Christmas morning.

I had picked up at the Cupboard these little jams. I found blueberry and Zac loves blueberries!

Zac paid for Christmas gifts for Dave, Kathy, Jeff and me from money he earned this summer. I was so proud of him and it was something he wanted to do. He picked up these cutting mats for Kathy for her to use in her kitchen.

Zac got this baseball ornament snow globe for Christmas from Jaden & Sienna. They know that is his first love in life.

Here is me and my stocking. I had picked up a few things for Zac and then forgot about them and so I had picked up some more small candies. So I gave myself the first group of items that I had picked up. :o)

Not knowing what Papa could use I finally just asked him. He indicated that he would like a long sleeve blue shirt so off to Kohl's we went and after looking at 3 different styles this is the one we choose.
