This week's activities...

* Sunday we had our home teachers come. We sure appreciate the time that they take to come see us each month.
* Then on Monday we got a new missionary. His name is Elder West and he has been out 1 year. We were sorry to see Elder Albino go, but that this the way missionary life is. We are always glad to meet new missionaries and have them in our home. The scripture that they shared with us this last week was Mosiah 1:3-4 which is about how grateful they were to have the scriptures and to learn of the history of their family. I am grateful for the scriptures. A sister at church had shown me that they now have a Book Of Mormon that is about 3x5 size and I sewed a little pocket for it and keep it in my purse to read when I have time. I am doing a lot of writing in this one as I am learning about what the verses are talking about I am writing it in the margins and learning a lot. I am grateful for a RS President that has encouraged us to earn the Young Women Virtue Value. One of the requirements is to read the Book of Mormon. I have read it before, but do not remember much. So I am hoping that now I am older I will learn a lot from it this time through.
* So on to Tuesday. We went straight home and I quickly made hamburgers which we tossed on the BBQ and devoured and headed to Scouts where Zac is working on his Tenderfoot and doing the exercises to see how he can improve over the next 30 days. Then Wednesday night we stayed home where I started to make Spaghetti, but when I was cooking up the hamburger and onion I realized that the sauce mix also had onion in it. So I changed course and I made hamburger tomato macaroni soup only to have put in the baking soda and opened the fridge to get the milk and find that it was all gone. So off to Walmart I dashed with Zac to get milk only to have the cash for all but .16 cents so I put that on the card. That drives Jeff crazy when I do that. I just think it is funny. Also my wonderful visiting teachers came Wednesday evening. Thursday I spent the day in the classroom where I laminated and cut out a lot of math cards for Math Centers. I am glad that I was able to help out Zac's teacher. She is a wonderful lady that truly loves to teach the kids.
