Vacation and Family Reunion and Grandma Jewkes

This is a picture of the Sweet Water Crossing at Martin's Cove Wyoming. This is a picture of one of the statues that represent what took place at Martin's Cove Wyoming.
This is us at the Dinosaur Museum at the BYU campus.

My sweet nieces Carlin, Samantha and Shelby aren't they cute!

We did our finger nails prior to attending Church Sunday morning. Don't they look great?
Brad even cut their nails prior to painting them.  What a great dad he is!

We just came home from a fun trip and family reunion. We left last Thursday to go to Utah where we got to see our boy. Zac left on the previous Saturday and flew with his Grandma Jewkes to Utah where he attended Space Camp with his cousins Jaden and Sienna. That took care of Monday evening, all day Tuesday and until Wednesday evening. Zac said that they were able to do 5 missions and his favorite mission was the invasion mission. He totally loved Space Camp and plans to attend next year. When we got to Orem Jenny had pizza dinner and a homemade carrot cake for us to celebrate Father's day since we were going to be busy on Sunday. Thanks Jenny! We are very grateful to have lots of friends and family in Orem and were able to spend a little time with our friends Cali and Joey and their great little family that is growing with 4 kids and another on the way. How she does it I don't know. I have enough with just one kid not to mention 4. So Friday morning we headed off to Nampa for the family reunion for Jeff's Mom's side of the family. Friday evening Jeff & I were able to spend time with Brad, Joanne and the girls, Carlin, Shelbie and Samantha. Then on Saturday we spent the day at the park with lots of family. It was sure great to see everyone and a special thanks to Lillian for pulling it together. Then Saturday afternoon we took a break and took the kids (Jaden, Sienna and Zac) along with Jeff, Jenny and I and went swimming to cool down. The kids also needed to finish off some of their energy they still had. So the kids to the pool and the adults to the jacuzzi was a great way to spend some time visiting. Then we met up with an old friend of mine Shana Hawkins we have know each other since we were about 3 or 4 years old. We had a great visit and caught up with all the family news and had a great meal at Red Robin. Sunday we went to Church with Brad's family and then said our goodbye's and stopped off at the family reunion Sunday luncheon and gathered the rest of the family and headed back to Jenny's in Provo. Had it not been for the traffic in SLC we would have made better time but it was slow going for a bit to get thru there. Monday we spent time going to the BYU museums for dinosaurs, wildlife, art and of course had to hit the BYU store and Creamery for ice cream. Then back at the house we gathered and headed up the canyon to bbq hot dogs and roast marshmellows. After this we came up with our own family games. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Then Tuesday morning we headed to Martin's Cove, Wyoming to see my folks. We were able to take Dave & Kathy (my in-laws) up in a rover to the Cove since they are not able to hike this far at this time. It was so plesant. Then that evening Jeff started to come down with a bad cold. Then Wednesday morning we had a great dutchoven breakfast (my dad really knows how to cook in the dutch oven) and cleaned up the trailer and head for home. Once we were home I went to the store to restock for the week and it was a good thing as Wednesday evening I started getting this bad cold too. So Thursday and Friday were spent in our PJs and watching everything on tv. Finally Saturday afternoon I finally started to feel relief. It was a good thing as we got a call and Grandma Jewkes (she is a 100) fell and broke her hip. So Sunday was spent at the hospital with family and I am gald to report that she pulled through surgery with flying colors and will just need a lot of rest to heal.

Pictures to follow.
