Christmas 2008

Zac singing to Grandma a song that he learned at school. All the stockings before the kids get to them.

Jenny made these hats for everyone at Christmas. Here is the family photo and even Gingersnap joined in.

Christmas with Kerry, Jenny, Kathy, Grandma Jewkes, Dave, Andrea, Jeff, Sienna, Jaden and Zac.
The Christmas Tree...this year Dave decorated the tree. Great job Pops!

Well sorry it has been a long time, but December was a busy month. We started off the month with Zac turning 10 and then had his Christmas concert. Followed by Jeff's Sister Jennifer her husband Kerry and their kids Jaden and Sienna coming to town for Christmas. Sunday 12/21 we went to where Jeff's parents live and had dinner with all of the family. Zac was able to stay there for the week and spend time with his cousins. Then Monday night Jeff came home and we went out to dinner at Red Robin where we played Sequence. Then off to Starbucks to drink his Chai and I my peppermint hot chocolate. While there we pulled out the laptop and played some Majhongg. It was fun to just have some time for the 2 of us. Then Tuesday we met up with all of the family and went to share Christmas with Grandma Jewkes. Back at our house we had taco's and played Snorta, Family Cranium and Apples to Apples.

Wednesday I went to work and then we had our Christmas Eve turkey dinner. Then once the kids were in bed we pulled out all of the Christmas presents and put them under the tree. To the kids dismay we told them that they can not get up before 7:00 am and come out of their room until then.

So at 6:55 I was getting the adults up for Christmas as the kids were up and excited to see what Santa had brought.

Christmas day brought a nap for some and games for the rest of us. Jenny also got a karokee machine and she and I sang Christmas songs until our hearts were content.

Friday I went to work and then at the end of the day I met the family at the theater to see Marley and Me. (I would not recommend this for children. We were surprised that it was PG.) Then back at the house the kids played with their toys and Jenny & Kerry got all packed up to leave and head home.

For Christmas Zac received from Santa the Vex Explorer. He also recieved the Harry Potter Clue game, a new alarm clock, some Bakugan with cards, some shirts and a new tie.

Jeff received an I-pod shuffle and shirts, a Louis Armstrong CD and I received can opener, Journey CD and Aebleskiver pan. For Jeff and I we recieved gift card to Lowe's which we plan on getting a fan for our room. It will be nice to have in the summer. Also a case of yummy pear sauce, a hand grain grinder, two 100 hour candles and an emergency radio that will charge the cell phones also a family game Would you rather... It should be fun! Also from Brad & Joanne we received a pastry roller and a perry knife and a the game Swap. It is a lot of fun!

For those that are not familiar with the Aebleskiver pan you can check out this link. www.karenblixen.com/aebleskiver.html

All in all Christmas was a lot of fun and we sure enjoyed having Jenny's family here to spend it with us. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
