Christmas 2013

Christmas was a great time with family.

Jenny, Kerry, Jaden, Sienna, Scrappy and Wick came for a visit to Dave & Kathy's.  Then add Jeff, Zac, Gingersnap and I to the mix and we had a full house.  (9 people and 3 dogs)  It took a few hours for the dogs to get used to each other. Scrappy was a bit tired from his travels and wasn't really in the mood to play right away.  Gingersnap loved having others to play with and Wick is just a playful baby with lots of soft fur.

Friday - Zac helped Papa set up the "Boys Cave" in the basement equipped with computer stations for Jaden, Sienna and Zachary along with a cot for each boy.  They also went our Christmas shopping for Zac to get his white elephant gift.

Saturday we had a little family time and celebrated Kerry's birthday at Mt Everest Cafe.

Sunday we went to church and Kathy was in the choir.  It was beautiful.  Sunday afternoon we played games and watched a Christmas show. Jeff & I headed home Sunday night as I had to work Monday and Tuesday.
Tuesday we had our Christmas Eve dinner and then we had our Christmas white elephant gift exchange. It was quite comical.

Christmas was nice and relaxing we opened gifts, played games and had good food.

The day after Christmas Jeff, Zac and I packed it up and went to Idaho to see my side of the family for New Years.

Ginger wandered the house looking for the dogs when Jenny's family left taking the dogs. She sure had a good time with them.

Zac's 15th Birthday...

Zac has been a busy boy this year.  Here are some highlights from 2013 for him.

Played on a Travel Team - Wolves - and they took the State Championship.  It was super exciting.
Zac graduated 8th grade at Chappelow.  He spent 9 years there and we are so grateful for wonderful teachers.
Zac started on the Greeley West Baseball Legion C team - we spent much of the summer running from town to town watching Zac play ball.
Jennifer's family came in the early summer and Zac enjoyed what time he could with them (between all the baseball). :o)
Grandma Wood came for a month and Zac enjoyed playing scrabble with her.
As the end of the summer drew near Zac started high school at Greeley West.
Aunt Lillian came for a month and Zac enjoyed getting to know her a bit.
Fall Baseball was another great time on the field.  We had one instance where the umpire was not paying attention to Zac and called him out, when he was safe, but even umpires are not perfect. We won all but 2 games and those 2 games were with the same team.
Zac spent his Saturdays in November and December taking driver's education.
December 9th Zac got his driver's permit.  Watch out!
Dave has been very brave and taken Zac out for a lot of his firsts!
We finished the year with time with Jennifer's family for Christmas in Fort Collins and then spent New Years with the Adams's family in West Yellowstone Montana.

It was a very busy fun filled year!

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving was spent in Fort Collins this year with Dave, Kathy, Eva, Luke, Danielle and Eden.

We had a delicious dinner and then spent the next few days just hanging out.

Zac loves to play Monopoly for his birthday so Luke and Danielle played with us and the end result came down to Luke and Zac.

Halloween 2013

For Halloween we had sourdough waffles and bacon.  I handed out candy to all the kids who came to the door and then we went to a Haunted House that some people we know put on using their own home.  Zac was coming down with a cold and then of course Jeff and I each got it in the following days so it was a while before we celebrated with family.

2013 Labor Day Weekend...

We have some very generous friends that allowed us the use of their cabin this weekend.  We did some pellet shooting.  (No one hit the plastic bottle) We tried out the four-wheelers where we took in some beautiful country.  Had some delicious meals and relaxed and just enjoyed the view of mother nature.
