Another Concert
Zac performed in the 3rd grade Americana Night Concert at school. He did a great job. It was amazing to see the difference between the 3rd and 4th graders and what just one year of growth has done for these kids.

Grandma Jewkes turned 100.
Grandma made it to 100 years old. We had a nice birthday party for her. It was fun for her to see all 4 of her children, Don, Ann, Sue and Brent (Papa to Zac). Plus other family came from California, Utah and Wyoming.
Jeff's sister Jenny came from Utah for this event and it was fun getting to spend time with her. Friday afternoon Jenny, Kathy & Dave came over and we BBQ hamburgers and played some pool and games. Then Saturday we met them in Sterling where we met up with a lot of other family that had arrived and went to dinner.
Pictures to come.

Something Especially For You!

Here's how it works:
~
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me. My choice. For you!
~
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations.
~
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year (anytime).
4. You have no clue what it is going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on how to properly wash your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure.
5. I reserve the right to do something completely strange.
~~~~
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same thing to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me that they did, win a FABULOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!!
Friends... Family and catching up...
Today I was checking in on all my friends blogs and found some old friends from when we lived in Washington. It was the highlight of my day. I love that through blogging you can get to know friends that you don't get to see to often.
Also I need to catch up on my own blog. It has been busy as my parent's decided to come for a short visit after they had been helping my Uncle Scott with the building of his log home in Utah. Here are my parents.
Here is the log home that they have been helping my Uncle Scott and Aunt Kim work on.
Here is the fireplace that they have been working on.
Here is my Aunt Kim they did a diamond pattern on the wall and then the wall boards around it. It is very cool.
So it was a mad dash for a couple of evenings to get ready for them. We had a great time and glad that they could come. We enjoyed some games of pool and domino's.
We also worked on a quilt that I started on a few years ago. I had this great idea for a quilt and with old jeans I cut out a lot of triangles. Well before my parents went on their mission my mom tried to show me what to do to sew them and after trying only one I threw my hands up in the air and gave up. So when my parents returned from their mission I gave all the pieces to my mom and told her if she could make it work that would be great and if not just to toss them. Well recently she sewed all the quilt squares together and then this weekend we finished the quilt together. Here is my mom's handi work with the quilt squares.
And then here I am sewing the quilt pieces together.
I will have to post a picture of the final product later as I have taken the quilt to work. It has been so cold lately and I have been using it to keep me warm. I also started another quilt 11 years ago and only had the binding to finish on it and we completed it too.
